The bible tells us from the book of Genesis, chapter three that Jesus is coming. God the Father kept saying it throughout all the Old Testament thousands of times.
The dictionary tells us the word relentless means:
- Unrelenting or unyielding in severity or
- Unremitting, steady and persistent.
Relentless in his love for the human race. God never gave up; even when Israel was so disobedient more than a few times. I think that sums up Father God proclaiming his Son Jesus is coming. God gave them the Ten Commandments and the Laws to point them to Jesus. He was painting a picture of his Son. If you study the Old Testament, you can see Jesus all the way through it and especially in the detail of the Tabernacle. It was a shadow of things to come. Of course they/we cannot keep the commandments, so God gave the sacrifice system to cover their sins, a priesthood with very strict laws, so strict if not adhered to could mean the death of the disobedient one. When Jesus became flesh and started his ministry after being baptised with the Holy Spirit, He was confronted by the religious leaders of that day. They had become so religious, so tied up in ritual they could not see Him standing in front of them. God is Love and they had become so hard hearted
God never did or does anything but says it first. God and his Word (Jesus) are one. The word became flesh and dwelt among us, born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit. Lived a sinless life, but on the cross he became sin for us. He cried out on the cross “It is finished” the last sacrifice. He fulfilled all the commandments and laws. The Lamb of God was made sin .Rose from the dead and put his spotless blood on the mercy seat in heaven to take away the sin of the world. So by faith we can be forgiven by accepting what he did for us. Jesus the Lamb of God that was slain is now exalted to the right hand of the father and given the name that is above all names. Everything must bow to the name of Jesus.
It is a free gift.
It’s not that we loved God, but he first loved us, while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us.
One for the kids:
In closing, maybe you have been going to church for years. But going to church does not make you a Christian any more than going to McDonalds makes you a hamburger. You know there is something missing, or maybe you’ve just come across our website. If so we thank you, it has not happened for no reason. God is calling to you. If you would believe his message of his Son and accept him into your heart. The Bible calls this being born again. You see God is a Spirit and to know him, we have to receive the Holy Spirit.
If you feel you’re ready to do this, we ask you to repeat this prayer:
Father God, I know I am a sinner and believe that Jesus died for me. Jesus I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me of all my sins. Thank you Jesus and now fill me with your Holy Spirit in Jesus name.
Friend if you have done this, you have just become a child of God. Now you need teaching about this new life. Will life be easy and without trouble? NO! But now you have the whole of Heaven behind you to help you. God is for you, He loves you. Get hold of a bible to study, for that is God speaking to you.
