Baptism

Baptisms take place within the 10.30am service of worship on Sunday mornings. They are wonderful occasion of joy for everyone present where we offer a welcoming, nurturing space where individuals of all ages have an opportunity to learn about God’s love for them. Here in St. Ninian’s, we follow the practice and tradition of the Church of Scotland in that, where a child is being baptised, at least one of the parents must be a member of the church.
If, however, neither of the parents are members nor have a desire to become a member of the church, we can offer an alternative service called a “Thanksgiving and Blessing Ceremony.” The way to discover which of these options best suit you or your family is to explore this with our minister. |

Weddings
|
Our minister is available to conduct weddings who reside within the Parish, or who themselves, or their parents are members of the Church, or those who have family associations with the Church. Please contact our minister who will be happy to arrange a meeting to explore further details.

Funerals
|
One of the privileges of being part of the Church of Scotland is that we are dedicated to providing ministerial services for conducting funerals within the parish. Our minister will provide bereavement support for you and your family whilst ensuring a meaningful and personal service is prepared for your loved one.
Our Minister is available to conduct funerals for members of the Church and the Parish. Normally, contact is made by the Funeral Director who ensures the availability of the minister prior to finalising service details with the Crematorium or the Cemetery. |
